This book presents the development of a virtual learning community, based on the TPACK model, which offers training for teachers to incorporate the Blended Learning methodology into their school activities. The work was organized into two dimensions. In the research dimension, descriptive-exploratory research was conducted on the use of Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs) in face-to-face basic education, including document analysis and comparative study. The document analysis was based on publications from 2009 to 2014. For the comparative study, VLEs available for installation at no cost, with open source code, a Portuguese version, and periodic updates were investigated. The results of the analysis showed that the Moodle VLE was the most suitable for use in education, as it offered more resources and compatibility. In terms of development, a community called Comunidade Landell was created, which offers guidance on different uses of tools and resources, ways to configure virtual learning spaces, and examples of teaching sequences for teachers to use.
