Helping husbands and wives understand their roles in marriage, the variation in their expectations, and what makes those expectations so different. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book by Walker is very helpful and Biblical on the entire subject of men leading in the home and wives supporting the husband's leadership. While certainly not politically correct, this volume is Biblically correct in its affirmation of the husband as the servant leader of the household. Walker divides his work into two halves, the first half addressing men who won't lead, and the second addressing women who won't follow. This book is not to be used as a defense of a complimentarian view of marriage. For Christians who have a complimentarian view however, it is extremely helpful in putting that view into practice.
The best on the subject

When reading James Walker's book I was struck by it's honesty and hard-hitting style. It's like he had been an uninvited guest in our home for many years. His book deals with Male passivity and how women go crazy when they feel like they are carrying the whole load. He also gives practical suggestions on how to save your marriage along with your sanity. When I read it I wanted to colapse and breathe a huge sigh of relief.
Should Be Required Reading for All Pre-Married Fiances

EXCELLENT! Walker provides both potential wife, and husband, invaluable insight as to why people are the way they are - particularly men. He explains what makes them tick, not tick, and what factors influence them to be motivated, or not motivated, to do or not do certain things. By gaining an better understanding of men, and how they operate, woman are equipped to be much less frustrated by the decisions of men. (Allthough somewhat poorly worded, a better title might be "If Only She Knew". It brings to light many issues which woman, especially, might benefit from understanding. Written as a Christian book. A good book source for men is "If Only He Knew".)
