excellent book on Canadian prairie whitetails

"almost single handedly founded the Canadian whitetail hunting industry" Despite this pompous blurb, this is an excellent book for anyone interested in Canadian prairie whitetails. I am surprised that is has not been reviewed before. It is not comprehensive but nothing could be. He offers sane advice on outfitters, rifles and gear. Some of the best advice has to do with the clothing needed for such cold climes. I have hunted SK and can attest to the need for preparation. There is a good overview for each of the four western provinces and their deer potential. He also covers some innovative tactics that have worked for him. The book has good high gloss paper and is well illustrated. Some of region's biggest bucks are pictured.
