Hunter's Prey
A blood-soaked apartment. No bodies. No witnesses.
What begins as another investigation at Harbourside Beach pulls Detective Blaire Hunter and her team into a violent criminal network stretching from Sydney's streets to hidden operations in the Blue Mountains.
Bikie gangs are shifting alliances. Drug networks are expanding. Bodies are beginning to fall. And every answer Hunter uncovers seems to expose another layer of deception.
As Blaire, Marks, Ava and Neville follow the trail through Sydney's criminal underworld, seemingly separate pieces begin to connect: organised crime, drug trafficking, compromised loyalties and people willing to kill to protect what they have built.
But nothing about the investigation is straightforward. Information arrives from unexpected places, suspects have their own agendas, and the deeper Hunter's team digs, the harder it becomes to tell who is using whom.
Someone is playing a much larger game - manipulating rivals, exploiting old loyalties and staying one step ahead of the police.
And Hunter's team is no longer simply investigating the criminals.
Someone is watching them.
With pressure mounting and loyalties beginning to fracture, Blaire must work out who is pulling the strings before the violence reaches those closest to her.
Set against contemporary Sydney and the Blue Mountains, Hunter's Prey blends police procedural investigation, organised crime, bikie gangs, drug networks, dark humour and the relationships between the people behind the badge.
Hunter's Prey is the second novel in the Blaire Hunter Crime Series.
Because this time, Hunter isn't the only one hunting.
