Winsome puppy's eyes are bigger than his stomach

We just got this book and I do think it's better for age two than three and a half. But my kids enjoyed the antics of this mischievous puppy who just can't help himself. I thought it ended a little abruptly but it's very cute overall. The drawings are very simple but realistic contour drawings. The prose is full of delicious rhymes. Cute for any daycare or preschool library.

We L-O-V-E Hunky Dory Ate it! My daughter who is now seven began requesting it night after night years ago and then before we knew it, she was reading it to us. She reads chapter books now, but still requests this old FAVORITE and even reads it to her four year old sister. We'll keep this forever and pass it down- Thanks Ms. Evans- Hunky Dory is THE BEST CHILDREN'S BOOK ever!
