I am Cuban by birth and American by choice. My mother language is Spanish, the language in which my thoughts navigate, and my pen slides when I write. I adopted the English language for necessity; it is the language my children and grandchildren use the most. It will be the one my great-granddaughters will soon begin to speak, two of them as a second language, their first being French. That is why I translated, yes, and I did not send my book "Cien D?as de Insomnio" for translation. I am an independent voter who writes for the love of freedom, democracy, and justice. The hundred days leading up to the 2020 presidential elections in the United States were the longest and most stressed in terms of electoral matters in the history of this country. Half-truths, sometimes unspoken, distorted, or occasionally unfounded; intentional lies, disguised as truths, or periodically just, lies repeated out of hatred and arrogance. This is how the last hundred days passed, before the elections, in the press, left and right, socialist and conservative, of the entire American nation. I wrote a hundred articles during those terrifying days, one each morning, including Saturdays and Sundays. The elected president was not to my liking. I don't think he was like many who voted for him either. But this is a democracy, and we have to accept it. New elections are approaching, and primaries have begun to elect candidates for mid-term elections in the House of Representatives, the Senate, and state governorships. I have wanted to gather a single text of a hundred articles this server wrote during the 2020 presidential campaign. Each one maintains the same political value and validity for this new campaign. Hopefully, the lesson has been learned.
