Uniting voices from around the globe, this Z-bound book spotlights a new generation of curators and writers thinking through art from the Arab world
Published with Barjeel Art Foundation.
This stunning Z-bound volume brings together two student-curated exhibition catalogs in a single bound volume, with each book documenting a collaborative project built around the Barjeel Art Foundation's collection of modern and contemporary Arab art. The first book, Hudood, accompanies the inaugural student-curated exhibition at SOAS University of London, cocurated by SOAS students under the mentorship of Barjeel founder Sultan Sooud Al Qassemi. Its essays explore the intersections of art and division, inviting readers to engage in dialogue across boundaries of geography and expertise. The second book, Past Through Here, emerges from the first Arts Practicum at the American University of Sharjah's College of Architecture, Art and Design, where students assembled an exhibition from the collection and reflected on how the works moved them.
