Lydia is an aspiring writer from the seaside. Lydia wants to be a published writer with the biggest publishers, while she goes to college. Her life is going nowhere once he meets Jeremy Horton, an editor at a big publisher with a passion for books. Lydia instantly dislikes Jeremy and the way he criticizes her writing that makes her dislike him even more. However, when Lydia's ex shows up in her life, Jeremy becomes more ruthless with her, because of his jealousy. Lydia begins to notice that Jeremy's actually rather hilarious at heart. But, the pressures of Jeremy's job as an editor leave him blind to Lydia's growing affections and Jeremy takes up a road trip to try and distract himself. Finally, Roger has to act fast when Lydia's ex's in town and threatens to come between them. But will they ever confess the love that they feel for each other?
