Christianity has long rested on two central tenets: an omnipotent, controlling force, God, directing personal and historical outcomes. The other is a notion of salvation as an end product in life, to wit, heaven or hell. This volume challenges both views. I hold God to be a smaller reality acting within events not over them. I challenge all notions of heaven and hell in favor of Paul's simpler notion of "justification."
