How To Train Your Chicken

Jimmy is a little boy obsessed with dragons and dinosaurs who REALLY wants a real dragon for Christmas. His parents give him a chicken - dinosaur's most direct descendants - because Santa can only do so much. Convinced to have a trained dragon of his own, he sets about training his chicken to become one. His parents question him and his bully teases him, but when the moment comes the chicken rises to the occasion and stands up for her master. The chicken's heroism teaches Jimmy that wishing things could be different often causes us to miss the greatness of what they already are. A 10 minute one-act play for 5 actors.
