Witty English holidays

Jilly Cooper has a great talent for stepping back and looking at the customs of her fellow Englishmen. This book would make a charming present to yourself or anyone else who enjoys the quirks of our British fellows. It would help if you know something of British holiday customs, such as what Boxing Day is - the day after Christmas, the love of marzipan frosted fruitcakes - but they don't call them that; a banger is not a car accident, it could be a beat up car you drive around town, but usually is a sausage. . Bottom line is that this is a fun, interesting book that gives a light and different look on the holidays that even Americans could enjoy
