This is a GREAT book ... but old ... It was written in 1977, so it is funny to read it once again and see references to $90 paint jobs, and 25 cent spark plugs. But, the principles of selling a used car haven't change much over the years. I met Greg Hill, in the 70's when I took a photo of him for an ad in the LA Times. Greg if you are out there I would love to talk with you! Greg, gave me a signed copy of his book back then, and over the years I have applied the principles of making an old car look new and sell for a decent price. The 2 best lessons I have used over the years are 1) Always end your price in '75' don't ask it for $2,000 instead ask $1,975 and the 2) Is if, the car will cost too much to repair to get what you want our of it, clean it up, and sell it as a parts car. It's a quick read, with excellent principles, if you can find a copy it's worth the read if you enjoy flipping cars to make a little side money.
