Contains absolutely NO useful information!

It claims on the opening page "simplified practical guide on playing from scratch till beginning," but has absolutely nothing to offer. The type size is very large & it's double spaced block print. You can literally read the WHOLE book in 15 minutes & there's nothing to practice in it. It appears to be written for a high-school writting class, & should be graded a "D." On "Selecting the Ideal Cello" it advises "Cello exist in many sizes ... It's vital to find a Cello that fits your body properly, allowing you to correct posture and technique." That's ii! And the bad grammar is a direct quote, not my error!! On "Sitting Position" - When seated, put the Cello between your knees, with the bottom of the instrument resting on the ground. Sit up straight, keeping your back aligned & shoulders relaxed. Your feet should rest flat on the floor, with the weight evenly distributed. " THAT'S IT! NO illustrations, pictures ect. In fact, there isn't 1 in the whole book! Same for holding the bow & left hand position! On "Vabrato Exercises and Etudes", it advises, "integrate exercises and etudes particularly intended to develop control & flexibility." WOW, what great advice! That's typical of how useful this book is! I can't emphasize what a waste this book is!
