Expert Advice

In a nutshell, if any of you knew a better approach or even how to write a book - all of you would, but you don't and you didn't, and that's why Robin is and always will be The Love Coach. Any criticism is highly unqualified unless coming from the vantage point of a writer and specifically, a writer in the coaching field. Thanks to Robin for her insightful comments and suggestions with minimal psychology. She provides exercises for one to cut-to-the-chase and try real-world practical exercises. Does she hold the crystal ball? Does any of us? No. But, can Robin steer you in a positive direction towards accomplishing your goals? Yes. Just remember to be honest with yourself about what you really want and why - there is no right or wrong. Robin is not pushing marriage and children, in fact she is clearly aware of parental pressures to move forward when in reality, not all singles want marriage or marriage and children. If that is the case, singles can still benefit from the suggestions as they provide healthy interaction with people. Nevertheless, if marriage and children are desired, then do your due diligence, put in the effort, and reap the rewards which occur in the process. Life is a journey.

Thank you to The Love Coach!

This is a great book that I wish was around when I was still single. I spent so many years reading relationship books that were more about healing and self-examination, when really what most single women need are tips on how to look for a mensch (regardless of your ethnic or religious background!) Robin's practical tips and real-life anecdotes let the reader know that there's nothing wrong with HER because she's single- she just needs a little guidance on how to meet her mate! What a gift!

WELL-WRITTEN & VALUABLE ADVICE FOR ANY SINGLE PERSON!

Here's a well-designed and useful dating/relationship book that deserves real attention. At first glance, you might think that it's just a book for Jewish singles and this is not the case. For those of you who aren't familiar, Mensch means decent, responsible person and can be found in some dictionaries. In fact, of late, there have been pop cultural references suggesting that it's cool or an achievement to be a mensch. Oprah was recently referred to as a mensch, for example. Mensch also isn't just a man....a woman can be a mensch as well. Additionally, some women might feel that a mensch is dull because they think of a "nice" guy......but in this book.....there is no better marriage material than a mensch. For most men, this book will raise their awareness about finding a female mensch as well as what it takes to be one in the first place. The principle here is that it takes one to know one and also that love is something that you attract by first being deserving of it. Many people might take this book lightly and skim through it without doing the valuable, well-chosen exercises. But, the more time that people take to complete these relationship and personal development exercises and give them real thought, the more likely it will pay off for them. People who actually put thought into these exercises will gain clarity over the choices they've made in their lives....romantic and otherwise. The book is very much a how-to, interactive read. As the Answer Man for [...], I'm always on the lookout for books to recommend for women in their search for lasting, fulfilling love. I liked the parts in the book that highlighted: 1) act like you want to get married instead of just thinking about it, 2) approach everyday socializing more strategically, and 3) creating the initial impression as a "babe" more so than a "bud." In summary, this book is written in a light-hearted manner, but still packs a punch in terms of empowering marriage-minded singles to do a serious reality check of their socializing strategies and tactics. This includes assessing not just the activities they pursue, but to be conscious of their attitude when they are meeting new people. Stories of others who met their mensches are shared in this book with great candor, and there is a lot to be learned from these experiences, as well as the author's. The WORDS OF WISDOM feature of the book will make the reader both smile and think and ideally, walk away believing that love is more than possible for them as well. This is a book that you'll enjoy reading the first time as well as a valuable reference to keep handy on your journey to love.

I loved this book!

This is a fun, uplifting book about dating and relationships. Robin's warm, witty writing style, combined with her use of anecdotes and personal experience, give the reader a real insight into what makes relationships work and how to make your relationship work for you. It's a must-read for anyone trying to navigate the tricky, often harrowing world of dating and relationships.

Helped me marry my mensch

Robin's insightful information helped me evaluate and guide my relationship to the next level. Now, I'm married to a wonderful, thoughtful man and we're thinking about starting a family. Susan
