Pennies Then but Dollars Today!

A great overview of how to live frugally in the north woods. North woods covers Alaska and Canada. A lot of the principles in this book are no longer applicable (i.e. homesteading). The bottom line is, don't let the title get you all excited thinking you are going to go live in the woods with that jar of change sitting next to your bed! However, the principles and guidelines in this book can still be helpful in planning a life in the wilderness for good or for a short while. Your initial investment today to undertake this, legally, anywhere in the U.S. would undoubtedly be costing you dollars, not pennies, a day for years to come. I still gave this book 5 stars because again the principles and mind set are there for that individual who could use this knowledge to his or her benefit.
