excellent reading

The Title tells it all. What to look for in a partner. How to avoid the misunderstandings. Having honest communications with each other. The author even lets you look over his shoulder and glimpse some of his experiences. His sense of humor and honesty is evident. I enjoyed the book very much.

How to Date Successfully and Confidently

This book is a good guide for mature people who has been "out of the social circuit" involving dating. It also helps both men and women to reestablish their thinking of what one wants out of a relationship. There are so many books about relationships which divides what men or women wants. This book illustrates that both men and women wants the same thing in relationships. The most common mistakes in a relationship is if one can not be honest to each other frustrations comes. Open communication is the key in any relationship. But a lot of people find this hard to do. I guess one has to be honest to themselves first, find happiness within themselves and whoever comes along in their is the icing on the cake. Charles has put together a work that I think has the very key to any relationships. People are people and we all want the same thing. Happiness in a relationship is not found on others. It needs to come from within, then it is easy to give it to others. Then no games can be played. This is not a recipe to dating, but I find it as a good resource. Again, in any decisions one has to make, one has to put in common sense in their decisions. Kudos to you Charles!

One-Stop Shopping

This 27-chapter book succinctly addresses every dating issue I've encountered in the last thirty years, and a few that I haven't. Strong points also include a focus on effective communication and means of achieving it. It was a relief to find someone who offers comprehensive insights on the subject without dichotomizing the genders - not all of us have the self-discipline to play by "The Rules" or the ability to memorize the respective traits of Mars and Venus. The gender-neutral approach throughout the book and the emphasis on honesty inspire a belief that an authentic relationship is possible. In addition, anyone familiar with A.H. Maslow's hierarchy of needs, or simply having an interest in motivational psychology, will delight, as I did, in the last chapter's creative expansion of Maslow's best-known theory.
