This book is a must have for anyone interested in a career in animation. It is the only book of its kind that interviews real animators in all walks of the field. These are important names in animation past and present. Chuck Jones, Glenn Keane, Don Bluth, Jack Hannah, Ron Clements,Bill Scott, John Pomeroy and many many more. You can't ask for much more. These are the people who brought you Bugs, Little Mermaid and The Beast,Bullwinkle, Donald Duck, Flintstones, NIMH, Space Ace, and even the California Raisins. It asks them all the questions you would want to ask if you met them yourself. How did you get started? What is a day like for you? Where should I go to school to learn? What advice do you have for me as a beginnner? How do I get a job in animation? What skills are people looking for? No other book can offer you this perspective. "How to Create Animation" is tragically out of print. Hopefully it will be reprinted someday with additional interviews and include animators of Rugrats, Spongebob, Ren and Stimpy and other modern classics.
