The title says it all.

I cheated and read quite a bit of the book before purchasing it. Most of the information I already knew, and the advice and instructions were right on the money. Now I am slowing down and reading what I do not know before I need to know it. Oops, too late, I should have known “How to Cheat Home Repair” long ago. This book does not replace specific books on home repair skills. What it shows is helpful to you avoid pending disasters, and sometimes keeps you from having to buy those books on repair skills. The first thing I found was how to clean my white couch that a particular cat, who will go unnamed here, inadvertently deposited something on. Then I moved on to water heater maintenance. No telling where I will end up. Only project a tad more difficult than the book is the oven heating element, which has its terminal wires somewhere in the back and not where the picture shows (probably just a cheap oven).
