Enter the shadowy world of espionage as taught since ancient times to the mystic warriors of the night: the NINJA! An anonymous agaent will take you inside Ashida Kim's camp to experience the training given only to select recruits. How to Become a Ninja is a dramatic demonstration of the Ninja's art as well as in-depth instruction for the serious ninjitsu student.
Ashida Kim has as always carefully written a helpful text to help others find the Way. Whether truth or fiction, the book is carefully laid out for those individuals who are capable to find the Way. The techniques in this book, as in all others, require a great deal of practice, discipline and self understanding to make effective, but once one has trained oneself to this level, the techniques do nothing but shine. One will find that other schools only delude themselves into thinking that the skill levels that those in their schools have attained are capable in combat. Some say Ninjitsu would never be good in a competitive arena, some say Koga Hei Long Pao Ying techniques are fairy tale. Only those who have trained themselves to a high enough level will be able to see past their own emotions and mental states to see these techniques for what they are.
This book is more for the Ninja Fanatic

I've read many of the titles by Ashida Kim and have found them all of great interest. However have to say this time "Sorry Ashida" I found this book rather dissapointing the content was rather shallow and not worth the buy.
People don't understand Ninjitsu, and the Ninja.

I think you're talking about the type of ninja that hollywood promotes. I think you've watched too many American Ninja, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, 3 Ninjas, and Surf Ninja movies. They are not accurate representations of practitioners of ninjitsu. Ninja do not wear leather jackets, at least not at work. Ninja were employed as spies as well as assassins. This means that they didn't always 'kick butt' and 'never back down', they got there job done.
VERY GOOD!!!!

This book told a lot about ninjitsu, and explained many escape and evasion technques. The book could have used more detalied photos, but in all a must read

"How to become a Ninja" is an excellent book, with a smooth blend of "How to" and and action story for a book that just cannot be put down. Perfect for any martial arts fan or for a person interested in the art of ninjitsu.
