The infectious and parasitic diseases we are referring to are diseases that are caused by parasites of the digestive tract and others, parasitizing blood cells. Insects are the vectors of some of these diseases, especially the latter. At the Dr. Paganoni Hospital Center in Kikwit 4, these infectious and parasitic diseases are responsible for significant mortality and morbidity, especially among the infant population, but all ages can also be affected. Therefore, it is a public health problem that the whole community of Kikwit must take into account to avoid the worst because it constitutes a permanent threat in the socio-economic development of our City of Kikwit.
