Princess Maria is more dedicated to her kingdom than all the royal court combined. She'll do whatever is best for her people. So when an engagement to the Prince of Desower is sprung on her, she doesn't fight it. Despite one ever-present issue: She's fallen in love. Not with her betrothed, or anyone of the like. She's fallen hard, for her lady-in-waiting. Unfortunately, not everyone is happy with the pending marriage. And not everyone can let it be. From the sky comes a shadow, set on fire. And snatched up in dragon claws, Maria is carried off. Now Lilokoi is left with a heartbreak, shattering enough to kill a man. But she isn't dead. Instead, left to piece together the deeper scheme. Of course, like any good prince, Prince Leopold sets out to save Maria. And so does Lilokoi, because Maria is hers . Unfortunately, she doesn't know just how deep the scheme is, as she puts on the chainmail and receives her weapon.
