How Not to Learn a Language in Seven Days: A Practical Guide to Making a Language Part of Your Life

By Mohamedou Ould Slahi

You don't learn a language by memorizing it. You make it part of your life.

Mohamedou Ould Slahi learned German to study, English in prison, French growing up in Mauritania, Spanish through music, and Dutch while building a new life in the Netherlands.

In this practical and personal guide, he shares what actually worked: learn sentences, talk to yourself, write every day, use what you love, make mistakes, and stop chasing perfection.

You don't need seven days to learn a language.

You need a damn good reason-and a friendship worth keeping.
