Danny "the Bruiser" Henderson has a plan. He's going to hustle cool, beautiful Angel McPherson, the best female player in the state of Iowa, on the basketball court. But he has no idea that she is hiding a shocking family secret. And what about Danny's own secret? Both Angel and Danny have a lot to learn about trust--and love--on the court and off. John Ripslinger tells their story in robust, masculine writing that packs a punch.
This was probably one of the best books I've ever read. This book is about a guy who likes a girl at his school and to try to get her to like him he asks her if she wants to play basketball after school sometime and she says yes. The whole book is pretty much him chasing the girl with a secret. I would recommend this book to a teenage boy who likes basketball and girls. I liked this book because I could really relate because I could really relate to the main character. One reason I disliked this book was because the end is kind of stupid.
Very Enjoyable

I like this book. It is both about basketball and about relationships and honesty. It doesn't pull any punches about the fact that kids talk behind each others backs, but it ends up with the satisfying conclusion that honesty helps, even if it is sometimes painful.
