How Do I Think?: By Using My Schizophrenia

"How Do I Think?" portrays a person with schizophrenia as one person's unique affect dealing with this terrible illness. The deviation from reality is a symptom that has to be controlled so it doesn't lead to psychosis where the patient has to be hospitalized. The psychotropics plays a major role daily in keeping the patient in touch with the real world as far as perception of observation and communicating sanely with those in the environment, keeping stability. Paranoia is there when one tries to define an unknown to explain the suspicion of the belief given for the normal world because the person is not satisfied with life as we know it. There is a constant desire to prove that the understanding of life is faulty and there is a need to clarify life logically with illogical reasoning due to the thought process of this illness. This is driven by the patient having a sense of being persecuted by an unexplained unknown intelligence that he wishes to eliminate from life and especially his/her life so as to eliminate the compulsion to do and think things that appear irrational instinctively. Normally you would want to suppress logic for paranoia but in this case the author is using paranoia to explain paranoia. The desire to change perceptions are reflected in this book.
