Placed in their historical context, the author recreates their lives and tells their story based on his research in the primary records, and, where the trail of evidence runs thin, making his best guess as to what happened. This is the story of everyone. A story we all share in some way. We are the sum total of all of our ancestors decisions and actions before us, ending up placing us in a time and place not of our choosing. This is the story of us.
