Great History

This book begings with the big bang and ends with the end of the world. In between are thousands of years of interesting historical occurances from the time before Christ to the death of Princess Diana. If you are interested in any aspect of History this book is for you

Clear-eyed, if extremely conventional

This fascinating book is a look at many historical mysteries and misunderstandings, ranging from the Big Bang, through the "real" George Washington, and on to the death of Princess Diana. Along the way, conspiracies are debunked and misinformation is swept away. Each topic is given between two and ten pages, with many colorful pictures and informational sidebars being tossed in.Overall, I found this to be a fascinating read. If you have any pet conspiracies, then this book will disappoint you. But, if you are interested in a clear-eyed, if extremely conventional, look at a group of historical mysteries, then this book is for you.
