This study aims to understand the needs of female-headed households within the Minha Casa Minha Vida 2 programme, in municipalities with up to 50,000 inhabitants in the Campos Gerais region of Paran . In conducting this research, we start from the premise that the housing issue is one of the main urban social problems in Brazil, relating to the right to housing, access to the city, as well as access to goods and services. Housing is enshrined in the Federal Constitution, in Article 6, which guarantees the right to housing and ensures that it provides decent living conditions. It is important to note that this study seeks to contextualise the Minha Casa Minha Vida 2, Sub-50 programme, as this federal government programme prioritises families where a woman is the head of the household. Thus, the research population consists of the municipalities served by COHAPAR - Paran Housing Company - Ponta Grossa Regional Office. Among the municipalities selected for the programme, small-scale municipalities II were identified, namely: Arapoti, Imbituva, Jaguaria va, Ortigueira, Pira do Sul and Reserva.
