Demographic growth in Daloa, the capital of the Haut Sassandra region, is creating a number of problems, not least housing. To meet the needs of the population, housing is often built outside the standards recommended by the central government, thus creating environmental problems. The aim of this thesis is to show the environmental problems arising from housing in the town. The methodological approach is based on documentary research, field survey and observation. The aim is to identify the environmental problems caused by residential housing.
