Houses Architects Design for Themselves

If you appreciate modern architecture circa early 70's you'll enjoy this book. There is a pleasing range of styles represented, everything from the basic box to homes with soaring roof lines. There is also quite an array of building materials used in these homes, wood, concrete, stone, steel, glass and more. Not all the homes list their square footage but They range from 370 square feet up to aproximately 4000 square feet. If you read any building publications from that time period you'll recognize one home from a Cabot Stain advertisement. I appreciate mid- century architecture and this book does a splendid job showcasing that time period.
