A good read that keeps the pages turning

I didnt find this anywhere near a bad novel. If you like a good crazy story then this is for you... The people who are bashing this one need to start looking in a different section for their novels. I found this very hard to put down, it has a good pace, starts off with a bang, ends with a fierce conflict between good and evil......If you read Freakshow and liked it, you will like this one... Its not quite the Texas Chainsaw Massacre I was looking for, but it did not disappoint!!

House of Gore....

Loved it!! This was a great read and had all the blood and gore I love reading about in horror novels. It is so hard to find an incredibly great horror novel nowadays where the writer just lets their imagination run away with them. My suggestion to all horror novelists....sometimes a story isn't all that is needed for a great horror book, you need graphic details of mind-warping terrors. The kind that I want to lose sleep over. I can't wait for more of Bryan Smith's horror novels, bring 'em on!

Got a lot more than I expected

I really enjoyed House of Blood. I got a whole lot more than I expected from it. It was truly a pleasure to read. The story starts off fast and never lets up. I loved the pace of this book. I found myself flying through it, and I was sad to see it end. I was really wrapped in the story. I thought that the characters were very well developed, and I didn't find any of them wooden or stale. I found myself falling in love with some, and loathing others. I think the character development was one of the strongest aspects of this story. The part I think I loved most though was the story itself. It is a whole lot deeper than I expected to be. I realized about a hundred pages in that I was going to be getting a whole lot more than I bargained for. It is very original. I think the cover was very deceiving on this one. I highly recommend House of Blood to anyone who loves a good Horror Novel with a twist. I think if you give it a try you will like it as much as me. Five Stars

Like it Bloody and Raw? Give this Book a Go!

The title of Bryan Smith's debut novel, "House of Blood", couldn't ring truer. A variety of intriguing plots and convincing characters make this fast-paced book a mind-clenching page turner--just whatever you do, don't let the first few pages of this book fool you. "House of Blood" is much more than a story about a couple of people being stuck in the middle of no where. You won't find any leather-faced men or cannibals between the bindings. What you WILL find is an entirely different world hidden within the walls of a house constructed by something much more sinister than you average flesh-hungry human. In fact, I'd rather be eaten alive than enter Mr. Smith's bloody domain. I hope we will be seeing more great things from this new author, because as long as he continues to keep the blood running, I'll be there to soak it up.

Another Good Old Fashioned Tribute

House of Blood is a trip down memory lane for those who fondly remember 80's horror. It's a horror novel, and asks to be nothing more. It's a fun, entertaining read.
