Now that the Christian Coalition have been heard from (Roogs and Hakop), for those of you who EXPECT to see flashy, glossy Holywood Icons reflected in a book of Rolling Stone photographs, well...here it is, in all its gloss and glory. If you are looking for the TIME Magazine photos of death and devestation (which, evidently, Roogs and Hakop were...) then moove along little doggies.. *NOTE* I believe that is the first and ONLY time I have ever heard Angelia Jolie referred to as "ghoulish." Think about that when trying to decide if the reviewer has ANY taste in art/fashion/photography.

My favorite book!!!!!

These fin de siecle stars - pop icons in various levels of training and undress - appear to move on flying feet. Often they have been graced with other remarkable body parts as well. Turn the page and you'll likely find yourself feeling hot and not at all bothered.- Bob Weisz, AKA David Wild, or whatever.

I love this book. The pictures are awesome. The only disappointment is that there weren't more pictures. Excellent ideas and very creative. I especially love the Mena Survani and Anna Kournikova.

A Great Book of Photographs....

I have to say that this book of photographs is one of the sexiest books to have come out since Hustler magazine! All the young stars are set up in highly seductive poses. No one could be disappointed by this collection of hot pictures.There is something here for everyone. You get an equal amount of male and female celebrities in the pages of HotHouse. Some of my favorite stars photographed were Britney Spears, Katie Holmes, Ryan Phillippe, and Sarah Michelle Gellar. I just wish that the editors had chosen to add some pictures of Madonna to the pages--then it would have had practically every celebrity that I love.

Sexy, Imaginative, Fun Images of Today's Young Stars

This book would make a great gift for the young person who follows the current popular performers and recording artists. As the introduction says, this is "a balmy book full of heat-seeking images." It is dedicated to the proposition that "youth isn't necessarily wasted on the young." And I think they succeed.Although I was not familiar with all of the singers, actors actresses, and sports figures photographed here, I found the images to be remarkably appealing. I was particularly impressed with the photographs by Isabel Snyder who has a great gift for bringing out emotion and unusual perspectives in her work. Clearly, if you only looked at her work, you would be highly rewarded. I particularly liked her wet reflective image of Barry Wilson, the seductive Jennifer Shy, the defiant Caspar Van Dien, and the dopey cigarette pose of Ryan Phillippe. Jennifer Love Hewitt is one of the few subjects who appears more than once. She portrays great diversity between her humorous head shot with a candy on her tongue that reads "you melt on my tongue" by Robert Erdmann and a haunting pout in her other photograph. Unexpected depth showed in Leonardo di Caprio's lounging on a bare mattress in a rundown room with peeling paint by Mark Seliger. You see the seductive side of Britney Spears as captured in two photographs by David La Chapelle. La Chapelle also produced the best two photograph sequence involving Eminem holding a firecracker, both before and after. Classical references worked well, such as when Mark Seliger captured Fiona Apple as Medea. Put-ons abound. One of my favorites is Ricky Martin in a pool surrounded by nude lovelies facing down, appearing to have swooned for him. Mark Seliger also comes up with two winners in his two humorous images of the Backstreet Boys. After you finish enjoying these photographs, I suggest that you dig out a camera, grab another person and take turns coming up with your own "youthful" poses. Be young at heart, whatever your age!
