Sixteen-year-old Amber and her friend Mya decide to sneak out at night in order to investigate the murder of a girl around their age at the prestigious Arlington High School. With all the mystery surrounding her death, the girls discover a new mystery. A strange invitation is sent to them, inviting them to the ever-popular Lanchester Hotel-but with a twist. They are told they cannot leave there until they survive five nights.

About the Author

JaMya Haddix gives tours at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute because she is a part of the Legacy Youth Leadership Program. She also writes poems with the "Creative Minds" from A.H. Parker High School, which has been published already. Her hobbies are listening to music, acting, writing, sleeping, traveling, hanging out with friends, and making other people laugh. Becoming a famous author and a YouTuber are special interests of hers.

JaMya lived with her mom and older brother growing up and visited her dad during the summers. She was involved in robotics, NSBE, Law Club, Creative Minds, Book Club, Legacy Youth Leadership Program, Altec team on Zoom, Peace Builders, College Choice Foundation, and more. She also plans to go to college for journalism.
