Hotel del Coronado has just released a brand-new history book in celebration of its 125th anniversary in 2013! This 208-page coffee table book details Hotel del Coronado's 125-year history and contains more than 440 photos, which many have never been published. Other sections focus on specific subjects such as presidential visits, guest activities and Tent City. Vintage photos also document The Del's ever-changing décor, from guestrooms to the famed Crown Room. There is even a chapter on the hotel's ghost, Kate Morgan. In celebration of the resort's 125th anniversary, The Del is pleased to donate $1.25 to United Through Reading® from each new history book sold in 2013. United Through Reading is the nation's first nonprofit to promote the read-aloud experience for separated military families, by offering the opportunity to be video-recorded reading storybooks from nearly 200 deployment locations around the world.
