A young girl is left to tend her three younger siblings when her ma dies and her pa runs off with a dance hall dolly. She gets a job as a swamper in a saloon and leaves her two brothers and sister with the Sheriff and his wife. When faced with possible molestation from the owner of the saloon, she runs away and is taken in by a trapper named Coffee Kate, who makes the best coffee in the world. She learns a trade, makes money and returns to the shack where her pa lived and starts a horse ranch. The soldiers nickname her Hoss Woman. She retrieves her siblings their adventures are exciting.
