GONE TO TEXAS - Texans are a rare mix that come from everywhere but Texas. The McCords came out of Georgia after General Sherman's March to the Sea. The promise of free land and a new life brought the Jones and the Otwells from Arkansas. The three families had survived the Civil War, but they weren't prepared for the Range Wars. They would soon find that the worst snakes in Texas are of the two-legged variety.
