This is a great book of a girl longing for a riding horse.

Cassie is a 12 year old girl who lives on a farm with her father,mother,twin sister Patsy,and her older brother Jess. Cassie is longing for a riding horse,but her father says no to the idea because they don't have enough money this time of year.Later that year in the fall the baby horse Amber gets his leg caught in a fence and breaks his hip. The doctor says that all he can do is keep the pain away for a while so they decided to put the horse to sleep. Does cassie get a horse? This was a very touching story sometimes I laughed sometimes I felt terrible. My advise is that you read this book! :-)
