Horizon Spectrum is a collection of literary works by Northwest Indiana writers. The publication of this anthology coincides with Indiana's Bicentennial; therefore Part I honors the Midwestern Hoosier state. Many "pages have turned" and years have flown by since the first ten writers gathered in the Lake County Reference Library in Merrillville, Indiana in January, 1989, to hone their craft. Twenty-four members from Write-on, Hoosiers, a Northwest, Indiana writers' group, authored this literary collection. Writers contributed their poems, short stories, and excerpts from their novels. A short biography of each author is included in the final pages. Many have extensive publishing experience, and some are more beginning writers, but all attend writers' groups to improve literary skills, share creative works, and learn more about the publishing world. The mission of Write-on, Hoosiers, is to offer education, friendship, and assistance to fellow writers, and promote the excellence of writing in all forms. Feel free to attend meetings or visit the W.O.H. website(www.writeonhoosiers.org) and blog. "Write-On "
