"Your cancer is chronic, there is no cure. After you do this chemo, your cancer can return in as little as 6 months. The only thing I can offer you is to call in hospice when the time gets closer." Those were the words I heard from the oncologist in the summer of 2016. Today due to God's mercy and healing using alternative treatments, I have my life back and am experiencing remission. There is hardly a person I know who has not been affected by this terrible disease either in their own lives or the lives of a family member or friend. Cancer is at epidemic levels; I personally refer to it as the C-plague! This book was borne out of social media posts where I chronicled my treatment plan and progress. Encouraged by friends, I am sharing my story so that others might find hope in the midst of a devastating diagnosis, especially those who have been deemed terminal by the doctors. No treatment plan is complete without addressing the emotional and spiritual needs you will undoubtedly face, as I did, when cancer strikes so this book addresses those issues as well. Though late-stage ovarian cancer changed my life, it did not stop me from LIVING LIFE. I have actually experienced some good things due to the C-plague--there is joy to be found even in a difficult journey. As a Christian biblical counselor, it is my prayer that sharing my story will encourage your heart to hope again.
