Hope, a sixteen-year-old woman who was thrown out after becoming pregnant, faces an uncertain future on the streets. But her life is permanently altered when she encounters an enigmatic man who says he is from the planet Pandora. However, until the day the ship arrives to take her and other young ladies into space and a new life, she is unsure of whether or not to believe him. However, when they arrive in Pandora, Hope and her friends' lives are drastically altered.

Due to a strange sickness that has been steadily wiping off women for millennia and making the survivors infertile, Pandora is a society where there are essentially no women. The Earth women are like a gift from the gods to the men, but when the Earth women contract the illness as well, either dying or becoming infertile, new issues develop, not just for them but also for Hope, who is the only woman who does not lose her child. She is now faced with a decision: watch as her child is given up to the whims of Pandora's rulers, or flee and once more defy destiny.
