Good book that covers a great time in automotive history

Absolutely Essential!

Hot rodding and custom cars were coming of age in the early '50s, and for a few short years beginning in 1951, Hop Up magazine (sister magazine to Road & Track in the early days) was the first and probably best of the little, pocket-sized hot rod magazines. Original issues are highly sought after and tough to find. This volume (a 6x9 book that's thick as a brick) contains every page of every issue of the first year of Hop Up magazine, and the material -- car features, how-tos, and even ads -- is pure gold. Wanna know what it was like in the '50s? This is the real deal.
