Book Overview

This epic journey is his only chance to redeem his mistakes.

Chogan should've seen it coming when his tribe cast him out. wonderful historical romance

Honor in the Mountain Refuge is the sixth book in the Call of the Rockies series by Misty M. Beller, and although part of a series, it could be read as a stand-alone book. Since characters are carried through the series, it will give a fuller picture of who they are and how they are related. Having read several of this author's books, I eagerly anticipated reading Honor in the Mountain Refuge and I was thoroughly enchanted by it. The writing style is graceful and flows smoothly as the author tells Chogan and Telìpe's story of adventure and romance. Watching their relationship develop throughout the story kept my interest. I wondered how it would all turn out with Chogan being part of an enemy tribe who had kidnapped Telìpe in a previous book. Strong characters that are so likable, very intense realistic situations, wonderfully descriptive scenes all work together for a delightful story. And threaded throughout the book is a faith in God--the God who truly knows and answers His children's prayers. I liked the strong relationships of the women in Telìpe's camp and how the women all came together to share in the care for the children. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of Ms. Beller's books. I received a complimentary copy of this book via CelebrateLit. A favorable review was not required and the opinions are my own. This review is part of the Celebrate Lit tour for Honor in the Mountain Refuge.
