Its displacement ranges between 1.2 and 1.7 liters and is available in both SOHC and DOHC versions; with some equipped with VTEC. Power ranges from 62 hp (46 kW) in the Logo to 150 hp (112 kW) in the Civic GTi. The D-series was introduced in 1984 and ended production in 2005 with the introduction of the 8th generation Honda Civic. D series engine technology culminated with production of the D15B 3-stage VTEC (D15Z7) which was available in markets outside of the United States.
