This edited volume is a comprehensive treatment of the study of homicide. Smith and Zahn recruited some of the best homicide researchers to make contributions to the book. The text is comprised of nineteen chapters which are divided into six substantive sections, covering everything from theoretical and methodological issues to the examination of homicide in specific populations and proposed solutions for preventing homicide.
