Great ideas for landscaping for the Northeast

I live in the Northwest, and have a gardening book for the Northwest, which I find useful. I purchased this book for a Christmas gift for my son and his wife who have recently bought a house in Massachusetts. They need to do a lot of work on their landscaping (they bought a "fixer-upper), and were very happy to get this book.

Excellent, practical, landscape book

Some landscape design books are nice to read, but don't really help in the garden. this book had lots of practical ideas on how to match designs, plants, house colors, etc. Very useful for a non-artistic gardener!
