Wonderful read

John Thompson is an 18 year old who would never have asked for his chance at fame. It was a routine task on the family farm that changed his life forever. Unfortunately, despite the best intents of family and friends to help him, John is the only one who can really make his life. It takes a long time to recover physicially, with an incredible twist in his story. You have to read the story to know how it all unfolds. I prayed for him then, and I continue to pray for John

A True Hero!

Being from the midwest I had heard about John Thompson.Well really who did not hear about this awful accident.I had no idea he had written a book, until I went tothe gift shop at North Memorial and had been a patientthere. Right on the counter was his book. Bought it,read it in 2 days. It is hard to take at times as hementions the operations etc. You relize what he wentthrough beyond the spotlights. And it was not nice attimes, but he held on. What was so sad when his dogdied, Tuffy was the one who licked his face when hisarms were torn off and awoke him. Tuffy was his hero.John is a hero and will always be a hero in my heart. Alsohe had signed the book!

I learned about courage

John Thompson's book honestly tells us the story behind the headlines and how he has struggled to overcome both the physical and emotional challenges this accident brought him.
