Great Advice & Even Better Illustrations!

This cover illustration caught my eye and I bought the book simply for all the gorgeous artwork. Then I was pleasantly surprised at all the great advice included. The six chapters: Room by Room; Cleaning & Organizing; Design & Improvements: Repairs & Maintenance; Entertaining & Etiquette; and Resources. Each chapter contains multiple sections with genuinely helpful information on home care and improvement and timely subjects such as healthy cleaning and energy conservation. The look is nostalgic but the information is definitely up-to-date. HOME ALMANAC would make a lovely wedding or housewarming gift. If you're looking for a general how-to housekeeping book, this will meet all your needs. If you're a fan of early 20th-century art, buy this book simply for the illustrations.
