Expanded Study Bible, brilliant idea!

I am amazed that this Bible has waned in popularity so quickly. Thomas Nelson, in cooperation with 3 respected scholars (Tremper Longman III, Mark L. Strauss, Daniel Taylor) has published an incredible resource for both "would-be" and serious students of Scripture. This Bible is not a new take on the previous Amplified Bible, but rather represents the expanding of the Bible text in a creative way that helps readers of all stripes read and understand the Bible text. This includes literal, traditional, alternate translations, expansions on key words or phrases, and some commentary on key historical or cultural motifs, while enabling the reader to read the text without interruption. The respected scholarly contributors and Thomas Nelson Publishing have created an awesome built-in Bible study tool within the borders of the Scripture text to help those who wish to go deeper in their studies, but who may balk at consulting large volumes of commentaries or word studies. I own this Bible and have given away both New Testaments and complete Bibles to friends and people I am mentoring or discipling.
