A great book covering the symbols of Christmas

Since I try to keep Christmas focused on Christ rather than Santa, I like to be able to tell my kids the origins of the traditions of Christmas. This book is a great resource, and also fun to read for anyone who likes to trace things back in history. Having a long-standing historic basis can give deeper meaning to otherwise meaningless things like candy canes, etc.

Good Holiday Traditions Book

A little too wordy for my kids but a lot of good info

Barth's Christmas Book Covers All Aspects of the Yule Season

Barth's book about Christmas is a pithy explanation concerning the Christian and Non-Christian origins of the symbols taken for granted during the Yuletide season. Informative for children and adults, this title is a must for all libraries and will give the reader a deeper appreciation for a magical time of the year.
