Book Overview

The #1 New York Times best-selling series

To find a cure for Miss Peregrine, their beloved headmistress, Jacob Portman and his peculiar friends journey through a time loop to London, 1940--the peculiar capital of the world

Having escaped Miss Peregrine's island by the skin of their teeth, Jacob and the rest of the peculiar children are fleeing the malevolent wights following them. Miss Peregrine is the only one who can help, but as she is trapped in bird form, the children must take a time loop to World War II London in search of a cure.

Along the way, the children encounter new allies and a menagerie of peculiar animals, but hideous surprises and betrayals lurk around every corner. And before Jacob can deliver the peculiar children to safety, he must make an important decision about his love for Emma Bloom.

Complete with dozens of newly discovered (and thoroughly mesmerizing) vintage photographs, the second chapter of the beloved Peculiar Children series will enchant readers of all ages.

Such a great book

Totally love this book bought the complete series and will buy book 5 when it comes out in January i am so happy with this and the others!!!

Wow amazing series

Hollow City: The Second Novel of Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is the 2nd book to the peculiar children series. This book picks up exactly where the first book left off and you get the answers to all the questions that left you hanging on the first book. I found this book even better than the first book. This second book is just as well-written as his first book but had more action, suspense , and twist. Like the first book, I could not put this one down! I loved the way that Riggs continues to use the photographs from his collection in the story. It is an amazing touch. And helps bring it alive. Each book ends in such a way that you just can't stop with that one book. you have to pick up the next book to see what happens next. Even though you get all of your answers from the first book the second book also leaves you hanging so you have to read book #3. As i said in my first review of book 1 you are going to want to have all the books in the series before you even start. I am looking forward to the next one which is also the last book i have. I have become so attached to the characters i am going to hate to see it end. Mr Riggs is brilliant writer. Now i am off to start book 3.

I love this series. It's nothing like the movie.
