A Book for Men That's Actually Useful.

I've read a lot of self-help books for men. Most of them seem to focus on problems and not actually provide solutions. Wayne Lavine's book "Hold on to Your N.U.Ts" breaks the mold. Instead of just describing the problem, Wayne provides 8 tools men can start using today to improve their relationships and have more fulfillment in their lives. What's great about Wayne's advice is it's applicable to the man who has serious issues or the man who's doing okay, but just wants more out of life. Wayne's style is very approachable. He doesn't speak down to the reader nor does he coddle them. He speaks to them man to a man. It's almost like sitting down and having a beer with a good friend. If you're a man looking to make some improvements in your life, Hold on to Your NUTs is a must have in your library.

Big Help for Men; Godsend for Women

This book is not intended for women, and doesn't pretend to be. But boy, will we benefit. I bought it for my husband in a "leave-it-on-the-beside-table-with-a-few-key-sections-conveniently-marked" kind of way . . . Of course I had to read it myself first (the title intrigued me), and what impressed me the most was how much this book was written FOR MEN, really. My husband laughed at the title and opened it right up. And he read it. Pretty quickly. There wasn't a bunch of pycho-babble or touchy-feely "delve into your past" exercises. Just straightforward advice and day-to-day tips. The book talks about fathering too, which I appreciate with our two young boys. N.U.T.s is full of clear examples and simple tools for men interested in improving their relationships. As a wife, it's a valuable resource, and I'm grateful for it.

the real deal!

This book and the work in it has literaly saved my marriage. 2 years ago when I was exposed to it, I was near divorce and pretty depressed about it. Today, not only I am no where near divorce but I have also taken my life back. Family is #1 and it is much easier to get out of bed in the morning! Wayne has an amazing way of using empathic understanding to cut through all of the bull and get right down to the issues that all men face: fear, control, etc. I am becoming the man I want to be as a result of the work and the book! Do yourself a favor and give it a read as it is a quick one.

It's a book that you can quickly read in one setting, and also keep referring to whenever you need encouragement and direction. Finally a book with actual do's and don'ts for men! This book is an easy read and has a straight forward approach. You can actually follow the author's step by step advice on how to deal with women and for that matter all relationships. The chapter on 'silencing the little boy' really hit home for me. Let's face it, what woman finds a whinning little boy sexy and attractive. This books helps you find your 'power' and can help you be a better man.
